Zoom Patio Plum Tree - Potted

Description

This plum is a traditional English plum tree which s self-fertile meaning that it’ll produce a good crop even if no other plum trees are located within the area. The sweet, juicy and firm flesh has a fragrant taste and is the perfect plum to use for preserves and pies. It is a very reliable cropper, it will produce heavy yields year after year as long as the correct care is given when it comes to thinning. Thinning is a very easy process and there are lots of benefits. When your plums start to form remove smaller, immature plums to make room for the others to develop. By doing this you’ll increase the amount of sunlight each plum has, increasing size and flavour of the individual plums. You’ll increase airflow around your plums too reducing the chance of diseases. And finally you’ll decreases the weight strain lowering the risk of branches breaking under the weight of the fruit.

This specimen is ready to plant into your garden on delivery or grown on in a container until you are ready to plant it in the ground. Once planted it will quickly establish itself and start producing a good crop of delicious fruit. The rootstock restricts the growth of the tree, so there's a maximum yield of accessible fruit from your plum tree and no need for ladders or climbing. It also only needs a small sunny space to thrive in your garden, in a pot on a patio or even on your balcony

Very few dormant buds annd the "prune" it had prior to despatch has left it poor shaped. Pruned at this time leaves it susceptible to silver fungus disease.

Now in it's dormant stage it is difficult to tell but I see no reason why it should grown well in the spring.
