Viburnum are an essential shrub to include in your garden. They add interest for most of the year and are valued for beautiful scented flowers and tactile leaves. They can be used in numerous planting schemes from sensory gardens to cottage gardens. Viburnum tinus Gwenllian is dense bushy evergreen shrub with lovely dark green foliage and clusters of compact white, star shaped flowers which appear from red buds from, late winter. These are followed by ornamental blue berries.
Grow Viburnum as a woodland plant or in a shrub border ideal should be planted where the fragrance can be best appreciated. Plant them in a moist but well-draining deep soil full of organic matter in sun or partial shade. Remove flowering heads after they have gone over.
